The Law of Attraction Brief History
Updated: Aug 31, 2021
The Law of Attraction is a pseudoscience based on the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life (source: Wikipedia).
In 1906 writer William Walker Atkinson December 5, 1862 - November 22, 1932) first coined the term when h
e released his book called, "Thought Vibration or The Law of Attraction In The Thought World"
Mr. Atkinson was an attorney, merchant, publisher, occultist and an American pioneer of the "New Thought movement".
The philosophy of The Law Of Attraction goes back even further. Buddha wrote: "all that we are is the result of what we have thought."
Alexander Graham Bell said, "What power this is I cannot say. All I know is that it exists."
The great beloved Roman ruler was quoted saying, "The universe is change, our life is what our thoughts make it." *Markus Aurelius 27BC - 180AD*
It has been proven over centuries that we can tap into the energies of the Universe and create the life we want based on positive thinking and the way our subconscious mind reacts to our exterior influences. We can retrain our brains to let go of the conditioning we received as children that has ultimately shaped the way our subconscious brain interacts with our conscious brain. Throughout history going back centuries, the very successful and the very rich have used LOA (as I will use this term from now on) to shape their lives. Here is a small list:
Dale Carnegie (American writer, lecturer, self improvement speaker, taught Napoleon Hill everything he knew: November, 24. 1888 - November, 1. 1955)
Napoleon Hill (American self-help author"Think and Grow Rich", student of Dale Carnegie: October 26, 1883 - November 8, 1970)
Markus Aurelius (beloved Roman Emperor and Stoicism teacher: 27BC - 180 AD)
Phineas Quimby (American clock maker, mentalist and mesmerist widely recognized as foundational to the New Thought spiritual movement: February 16, 1802 - 1866)
Ralph Waldo Emerson (playwright: May 25, 1803 - April 27, 1882)
Henry Ford (inventor: July 30, 1863 - April 7, 1947)
Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (Russian Spiritualist & philosopher: 1831 - 1891)
William Clement Stone (businessman, philanthropist, and New Thought self-help book author: 1902 - 2002)
Elon Musk (business magnate, industrial engineer & engineer)
Jeff Besoz (CEO Amazon)
Oprah (talk show host, philanthropist, TV producer, author, etc)
Steve Jobs (American business magnate, industrial designer, investor, and media proprietor February 24, 1955 - October 5, 2011)
Every single one of these magnificent people didn't get where they are (or were) by sheer luck. They took matters i
nto their owns hands and created the life they wanted. You can as well by learning and instilling the practices of The Law of Attraction every single day.
